appearance
Very large brown, cream, and white tom tom with thick fur, large paws, snaggled large hooked teeth, and tufted ears. The left side of his face is almost completely torn away from a fight with a badger that was spotted in the territory, resulting in his missing eye, torn ears, and torn lip. One could say he almost looks like the mountain lions that once resided in the same place long ago.

POSITIVE TRAITS
Admirable
Though any cat could easily be seen as such, Jackalpaw is sure to keep up the look of being admirable. The downside may be his fear of being useless to the Clan, but no matter what he will do what it takes to make him be admired--this includes what resulted in his name change.
Athletic
Basically, he's the kind of mentor who would train his apprentice down to the bone if he could. He'd need an energetic and eager to learn cat who could keep up with him when they got a little more training in. If he had it his way, he'd be out of the camp all day long, hunting, patrolling, and training himself until the sun set.
Genuine
His looks may make him out to be a grumpy and rude cat--even though that's pretty much what he is more than half the time--his sincerity and genuine personality kicks in when he is speaking of something he thoroughly enjoys or is in reference to his own Clan. He would never lie unless pushed to do so, even if lying would get him out of trouble with his leader or deputy.
Insouciant
Jackalpaw may care for his Clan in boundless amounts, but that doesn't change the fact that he has the attitude of "if it doesn't involve me directly, I don't care". This generally leaves him out of the drama his Clanmates may be encountering, as well as the issues of a rogue or an enemy Clan cat. His indifference remains until proven he needs to care.
Protective
When or if the tom does happen to get close, you best believe you've got a guard for life (or, that is until you betray him, in that case he'd want you dead oops). Being big and bulky, he could take down most things, which had lead to the scarring of his face and body. Though he lacks the speed of a smaller cat, he has the fury and balance of a FallenClanner who is protecting those he loves. He will pretty much do anything and everything for you.
Steadfast
When it's his Clan, the tom is dutifully loyal, firm, and unwavering. When given a command he will follow it without question, for as long as it's a reasonable request. Never doubt his loyalty, as he will do pretty much anything and everything to prove he will never do anything to intentionally do harm.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
Barbaric
While he doesn't normally act in such a way within camp or around Clanmates, the tom could be quite savage and cruel to others. This behavior is typically toward foxes, badgers, or enemy cats in a way of defense for his Clan's home. While this doesn't directly tie to him being angry, it may seem so in ways that he is rather aggressive in his ways of dealing with the situation.
Brutal
This, on the other hand, directly ties in with his barbaric nature. Jackalpaw can be rather savagely violent toward others, which is more likely to trigger any kind of anger the brute may be withholding. When in battle, it is likely he is rather brutal toward others, as he is far from friendly once he realizes who is friend and who is foe. He will very likely try to kill you if you're a foe.
Expedient
If the situation calls for it, Jackalpaw could think of convenient and practical methods of getting things done, although they could very well be immoral or improper. This usually ranges from ambushes on others to even sneak attacks, all of which usually involving some kind of assault when the sun sets and when they least expect it. Not to mention, he would rather perform such a thing when he knows his enemies are weakened.
Hostile
Everything about this tom screams hostile, whether you meant to offend him or not. Even if he's close to another cat, he can be rather mean and aggressive looking. Plus, with cats outside of his own Clan, he will not hesitate to be as big and bad as possible. This includes not only acting harsh, but mustering stinging words to try to scare those back before they could even think of launching a failure of an attack... even though sometimes he uses this method on kits of his own Clan to prevent them from jumping all over him.
Sadistic
Something he isn't too proud of, Jackalpaw's sadism shows when he's in the midst of battle. When he gains the upper hand and has taken control of the scene, he will ensure his enemy is feeling pain and agony as slowly as possible, extending it and enjoying their writhing form of a body while they suffer.

With the slow sinking of a shaded sun, left splashing the skies with wondrous mixtures of red and orange shades. The tom shifted his tail over his large paws and blinked, Still glad for the beautiful sights he can see without his missing eye. His ears flickering to the quieting songs of canary's and more birds. He turned his head to look up, a simple bird shot out of a pine tree he had climbed into. His head turned back to gaze at the slow falling of the sun, the moon gradually making it's way to show past the far mountains. The air was still, making for no movement in the trees and allowing a peaceful atmosphere to take hold. Jackalpaw always enjoyed this type of time of day, Even with his single eye, he enjoyed everything it could offer him at all. If anything, it made him appreciate it all the more, being as he can only take in so much with his single eye.
